Optimizing the Domestic Spaces

Optimizing the domestic spaces by “merging” the living room and the bedroom.

lema wardrobe 2

In modern societies there is an increase in singles and single families. The consequence is only one: the boom of all-in-one rooms.

lema wardrobe 1

According to the latest furnishing trends, interior designers focus on the desire to combine in a single area the bedroom and the living room, or alternatively the kitchen with the living room area.

lema wardrobe 3

The goal is always the same: to optimize spaces and make them more functional, adapting to the needs of an evolving real estate market characterized by the systematic increase of singles and small families looking for one and two-room apartments.

Hybrid spaces are thus born

Making the most of every single square meter becomes the dominant imperative for the so-called “unique” rooms, i.e. open space in which the spaces of the living area merge with those of the bedroom.

lema wardrobe 6

The must-have is the sofa bed element, used to rest during the night but also as an extra bed to accommodate relatives or friends. The new way of living the domestic spaces, which have become more and more fluid, makes the sleeping area become, little by little, the new living room where you spend on average about 70 minutes a day watching television, surfing the web or reading a book.

lema wardrobe 7

The hybrid spaces between bedroom and living room are also characterized by the presence of a modular wall. The chairs, then, from chairs for the living room, in many cases are also transformed into bedside tables, to be placed next to the bed.

Hybrid furniture

In open space environments it is advisable to choose hybrid furniture, suitable for both the living area and the sleeping area; for example a small table that can be used as a base for remote control or cell phone, who decorates it with furnishings and flowers who simply leave it empty.

Two other versatile and indispensable elements are the armchair that can also be used for lunch and one or more lamps. The armchair must be chosen following the subjective parameters of comfort and functionality.

The light element then has a key role! From the adjustable floor lamp to a refined suspension solution, the lighting must provide perfect reading light but also create a relaxing atmosphere.

Tapestry rugs

Another idea we propose you is to use tapestry carpets, such as Nanimarquina’s Hayon x Nani instead of a painting. These types of accessories, made entirely by hand, are true works of art.

Rediscover the domestic environment: how to re-evaluate and make our home more comfortable.

lomuarredi blog

Re-evaluating your home and then turning into an interior designer can be a funny and rewarding experience. No one knows its own home better than you and especially its weaknesses and strengths.

lomuarredi blog 1

Whether you decide to totally change the decor, simply repaint the walls or add a few new accessories, the keyword remains the same: comfort!

lomuarredi blog 2

All the boredom and anxiety we’ve experienced during this lockdown can be turned into creativity! We realized that home, being the place where we spent the most time during this period, must be suitable for our needs, must be a peaceful and relaxing environment, now more than ever!

lomuarredi blog 3

It doesn’t matter if we don’t live in a super luxurious environment; the important thing is that it reflects our personality, so that we like it and that it is comfortable.

lomuarredi blog 4

Definitely the living room is the most used area of the house. So we recommend quality armchairs and sofas that will last over time; a versatile design that fits almost any style and that it looks beautiful to the looking eye, turning the living room into our “corner of paradise”.

lomuarredi blog 5

The bedroom, which until a while ago was used only for sleeping, has now taken on a new role. Indeed, if it is skilfully furnished it can become almost a second living room. Thanks to chaise longue, benches, armchairs and coffee tables the bedroom can be used for breakfast, to rest and even to work.

lomuarredi blog 6

Another simpler way to re-evaluate your home is to add objects and decorative elements such as plants and flowers (both real and fake) that give a touch of colour and liveliness to the environment.

lomuarredi blog 7

Finally, you can opt to change the color of the walls, perhaps taking a bit of a risk and avoiding the usual white color. Painting the walls can be a very fun activity that involves the whole family!

Let’s use our creativity and the time we have at our disposal in a constructive way creating a small refuge that can make us happy!

rimadesio collection 1

Walk-in closet and separating elements: the ideal solutions for a functional and stylish home.

rimadesio collection 0

The new challenge in the design of homes and in the world of interior design is the versatility and multi-functionality of environments and therefore also of furniture. Smart homes, interior spaces that must adapt to the multiple needs of people: work, physical activity, relaxation and aesthetic requirements.

rimadesio collection 1

The world of furniture, therefore, must offer concrete answers to a growing desire for quality, efficiency and aesthetics. This has led to the creation of collections (for example, proposed by the Italian company Rimadesio) composed of sliding panels, doors, partitions, flanked by proposals dedicated to storage such as walk-in closets, bookcases, equipped boiserie. These types of products are quite new in the furniture sector and are all characterized by a high degree of technical innovation and performance.

Walk-in closets

These multi-functional elements make it possible to divide rooms with extreme elegance and without compromising visual impact. Some types of walk-in closets, for example, allow you to cut out small spaces in the bedroom for various purposes: to create reading corners, to practice yoga, to arrange clothes more easily or to divide two different rooms.

Partition systems and sliding doors

The dividing systems, instead, can be inserted in any other space in the house, in the kitchen, in the dining room, in the living room. Ideal for open-space and to create an office without compromising the aesthetic harmony of the home. The design will therefore be very simple, linear, modern, very precise and accurate in every detail. These features will make these elements adaptable to any furniture and style.

Bookshelves as room dividers

For easy, smart and not definitive solutions you can choose to divide a room through the use of a bookcase. Bookcases with a minimalist and non-invasive design that allow you to create two different rooms without the use of a door or sliding doors that would involve a higher cost.
